Smart Dial helps you find saved contacts more quickly when making a call.
As you enter numbers on the dial pad, the Phone app can match them with the letters linked to those numbers and show relevant contacts from your address book.
For example, to find a contact named “Amy,” tap 2, 6, and 9 on the dial pad. Smart Dial can use the corresponding letters to identify the matching contact, helping you call without scrolling through a long contact list.
This feature is useful when you remember a contact’s name but do not want to search manually. Smart Dial supports selected models and languages only.
It is enabled by default on supported devices and cannot be turned on, turned off, or adjusted manually.
